Afloat

Afloat is a porcelain sculpture of a lady travelling in a boat surrounded by her vases. The piece is created in collaboration between Chris Antemann and the Meissen manufactory. The form for the dinghy boat in Afloat comes from an old saucier designed by Johann Joachim Kaendler in the early 1700s.

Chris Antemann was invited by Meissen to collaborate with the historic manufacturer and its master artisans on a series of limited-edition pieces. Afloat is part of the "Antemann Dreams Collection", inspired by Meissen’s iconic tradition of intricately painted porcelain miniatures.
