The mirror is part of a collection that pays tribute to the Japanese Kakiemon-style decorations, also found on the 18th-century Capodimonte porcelain. These two-dimensional decorations burst into three-dimensional space to frame the mirror with organic shapes of branches and blossoms. The porcelain decorations are moulded with the typical techniques of the Real Fabbrica di Capodimonte and delicately hand-painted.
