One side of this monumental bronze screen, with its detailed engravings, is reminiscent of stately church doors. The other, purified and contemporary, has a layering of patinas that give the effect of extreme depth on the thin surface.

This large cedar cone, made from either bronze or brass, is part of Gianluca’s sculptural series in which a segment of the sculpture is sliced off. The sculpture is both an aesthetic exercise and a reflection on a recurring question: better out or in?

This metal furniture series celebrates imperfections. The surface of the Persian travertine, a type of limestone with distinctive craters, scars and fissures, is covered with liquid metal and mounted on a fine bronze structure with a reflective stainless-steel surface. The “imperfections” of the stone become a fossilized jewel. The stone seems to defy gravity and allows us to observe its passage through time.

This piece is both a mirror and a sculpture. The piece represents an iris, a pupil that looks back at you while you look at yourself in the mirror. The satinated aluminium and brass profile of the mirror has been finished with a soft graphite surface.

This sculptural bookshelf is made of rusty iron. For Gianluca, it represents our cultural roots, which remain strong and solid, in contrast to the present time in which we collide with one another, cancelling each other out.
