Blue Dinner Party

Luxuriously decorated table on which voluptuous beauties wearing undergarments decorated with Meissen patterns feed guests with sinfully sweet delicacies. The porcelain sculpture, a collaboration between Chris Antemann and the Meissen manufactory, is an homage to the table and dining culture of the 18th century.

Chris Antemann was invited by Meissen to collaborate with the historic manufacturer and its master artisans on a series of limited-edition pieces. The "Antemann Dreams Collection", inspired by Meissen’s iconic tradition of intricately painted porcelain miniatures, depicts decadent and lustful scenes. The Blue Dinner Party is Chris’s contemporary interpretation of a festive hall in the 18th century. A banquet was not a simple evening meal, but rather more a social construct with festive robes and large wigs, exquisite dishes and themed, sugared decorations as centrepieces – and of course porcelain.
