Learn to weave a basket with rye straw

Create a unique straw bowl or basket entirely from natural plants. Serfenta, basketry centre and shop in Cieszyn, will teach you the traditional Polish technique of weaving with a decorative straw knots. During the six hours of weaving together with fragrant rye straw, you will learn to work with this natural material. You will use tools, such as weaving needles designed by Serfenta, made in the locksmith’s workshop. In a nice and relaxing atmosphere, you will gain knowledge about this Polish craft and take a look at beautiful baskets while you work. Participants leave the workshop with their own, handmade and natural basket made of straw.
