The Snake Goddess

The decorative stacking puzzle figure of the Snake Goddess is part of a series that combines historical information, folk elements and Greek tradition with interactivity and modern design. The different coloured pieces – orange, black, brown and natural wood – highlight its archetypal characteristics. The Snake Goddess comprises ten different pieces, all handmade from beech wood and dyed with eco-friendly water-based paints.

Snake Goddess is the title given to the statuette of a topless woman holding snakes that was found in excavations at a Minoan archaeological site. The figurine, which dates back to around 3,500 BC, symbolises, according to the prevailing theories, the dominant goddess of fertility and vegetation.
