Lightscape Collection

Lightscape is a bisque porcelain service set, designed by Argentinian designer Ruth Gurvich and handcrafted by the master porcelain makers at Porzellan Manufaktur Nymphenburg. Ruth created this series based entirely on paper models. Her handmade paper vases, cups and plates serve as models for the master porcelain makers at Nymphenburg.

According to Ruth Gurvich, "paper introduces light, movement and life into things". Her sketches for the Lightscape collection are a tribute to paper, playing with the material's specificities in an extremely skilful way, revealing folds, creases and smooth areas. The fine porcelain creations handcrafted by artisans at Nymbenburg are true to the original paper models, right down to their fibre structure.
