The textile components of this installation were hand-woven on a 19th-century Jacquard loom with cotton and cashmere threads. They were both then assembled on a wooden support which rotates on a motor-powered wooden base. The colourful part of the damask represents the daylight, while the black and white section stands for the dark nights: this continuity of night and day gives the piece its name.
