Since 1952 the Robert Four family has engaged in preserving and renewing Aubusson’s savoir-faire and producing tapestries and rugs which reproduce works of art. Thanks to its exclusive "Savonnerie" rugs and its fully integrated process, the Manufacture d’Aubusson Robert Four remains a heir of the Aubusson handweaving art registered on the UNESCO world heritage list. Cartonniers designers, colourists and dye masters, weavers and restorers, synergise to serve both historical quality and an innovative approach.

Since 2013 the Creative Director has been developing the latter by collaborating with artists and international designers, such as the plastic artist Herve Di Rosa, for bespoke projects introducing fine rugs, tapestries and custom handwoven ones for interiors. Each model is exceptional; the contemporary tapestries are produced in a limited series of eight numbered copies, accompanied by a certificate signed by the artist.
