Poetic knives

Pierre Reverdy and Nicole Piel join their creative forces to tell stories through Damascus knives, turning them into true masterpieces. Pierre discovered forging at the age of 14 and was instantly fascinated. He has never stopped experimenting with steel and perfecting his Damascus pattern welding techniques. He developed a unique method to obtain very fine designs. Nicole finds her means of expression in drawing. Her sensitivity to the material brings a symbolic dimension to the forge. The couple met while studying fine arts in Paris, their artistic curiosity quickly merged. Together, they give words to the material until "the piece speaks for itself". The knives and sculptures they create mirror their ever-growing relationship.

Le Lien sculpture
“Le Lien” is inspired by the theme of the link: the human link. This poetic sculpture is emblematic of the collaborative work between Nicole and Pierre. Artist but also author, Nicole Piel writes about this idea of "Le Lien".

Le Lien opening knife
"Le Lien" links the characters to the emergence of a complicity. Their dance opens up to the depths of "Being", towards the radiance of its "Creative Impulse". In her words Nicole Piel, tells us about the inspiration of this emblematic piece. The poetic Damascus knife is decorated with a dancing human chain, originally drawn by Nicole. The pattern is carved along the handle and then illustrated on the blade through a unique technique developed by Pierre Reverdy.

Le Souffle opening knife
Le Souffle is a poetic Damascus knife inspired by the theme of the Breath. The handle reveals enamelled cherry blossoms, which have been carved into a block of pure silver. The patterns of the cherry blossoms are then reflected delicately and precisely on the Damascus blade.

Water Tiger knife
This folding knife was inspired by the theme of the tiger. The Damascus blade present the pattern of a tiger, an extremely precise design achieved through a unique technique developed by Pierre Reverdy. The flowing volumes featured are an evocation of the speed of this iconic animal. 2022 is the year of the Water Tiger.
