The base of this classic-shaped borosilicate glass candelabrum morphs into a rose plant with pink blossoms at the tips of its colourless glass branches. Five candle holders emerge from between the rose stems, leaves and buds.

A trophy is a paradoxical item in which nature and humans clash. In order to possess the beauty of nature, the animal is killed, therefore “in the very moment in which it is possessed, it is lost”. Through his Modern Trophy series, Simone offers a solution to this paradox; celebrate the beauty of life and nature through a detailed study and glass reconstruction.

This collection of elegant bottles each has a unique “trophy” bottle top featuring the horns of a wild animal: longhorn, deer and bighorn. The borosilicate glass was handmade using the lampworking technique.
