This neo-Gothic stained-glass window in the Church of St Catherine in Bethlehem (a UNESCO world heritage site) was a gift from the Belgian State in 1926. The original window, created by brothers Paul and Marcel Ganton, was badly damaged during the second intifada and subsequently restored by Atelier Mestdagh in 2004.

This contemporary stained-glass window is part of a series of four windows, two of which depict the church’s patron saints, St Aldegundis and St Christoffel. The other two depict two of the sacraments, the Eucharist and Baptism. The neo-Roman church is situated in a picturesque painters’ village in the Flemish part of Belgium.

This contemporary stained-glass window is located in the transept of a small Roman church near the River Lys. The window depicts John the Baptist and Christ, along with a dove and flowing water, references to St John and the proximity of the Lys.
