An advocate for the arts

Maria Güell Ampuero (Barcelona, 1970) is a Spanish journalist. After studying journalism at the University of Barcelona, she went on to undertake a masters on the subject at the Complutense University of Madrid. She began her writing career in 1993 commentating on cultural affairs for the news publication ABC, which she continued to write for until 2018. From 2003 to 2016 she collaborated with the magazine Temple, the publication of the Sagrada family. For more than 10 years Maria has been at the helm of the Güell Foundation and a member of the committee for Amics dels Museus de Catalunya. Presently, Maria writes articles on theatre and dance for El Temps de les Arts.
