Samurai Warrior pushed Juho Könkkölä’s paper art style into a new direction, creating increasingly three-dimensional forms and intricate details. The initial idea was to create another warrior, but the final piece reminded him of a Japanese samurai. The first iteration of this character was folded and designed while travelling on a train through the country.
