This intricate origami figure is hand-folded from a single sheet of Wenzhou rice paper using traditional Japanese origami paper folding techniques. The idea to create a knight figure came to Juko Könkkölä after he found a perfect technique for folding a shield. The character was further inspired by the medieval Maximilian and Gothic knight armour.
