Boncompagni Ludovisi Decorative Arts Museum is affiliated to the direction of the State museums of the City of Rome. The Museum is located near the elegant and historical via Veneto. Opened in 1995 to promote and develop the Italian decorative arts, costume and fashion, the museum is located in the Villino Boncompagni, an Art Nouveau villa, built in the early years of the 20th century and donated in 1972 by Princess Blanceflor de Bildt Boncompagni to the Italian Republic to promote art and culture.

Boncompagni Ludovisi Museum displays a collection of paintings, sculptures, ceramics and original furnishings. It houses about 800 pieces of clothing and fashion accessories, illustrating the Italian fashion history and showing the debut of the Italian fashion, at the beginning of the 1900s to its evolution to the contemporary trends of the last few decades. The museum also hosts temporary cultural and contemporary art exhibitions. Please note the last entrance time is 18h.
