Moving from two to three dimensions

Textile artist Georgia Gremouti shares her approach to paper and fabric in this hands-on workshop. Designed to explore the process of moving from two to three dimensions, this class invites participants to discover these common materials from a new perspective. Georgia will begin with a historical review, followed by a presentation of a personal collection of objects and a demonstration of folding techniques. Together you will examine the evolution of traditions and see how these materials are used in our daily lives and in contemporary art. Form, rhythm, composition and improvisation are all important. The course ends on a practical note, providing a great opportunity to challenge your creativity.
