An insight into jewellery making

After a brief introduction on the history of jewellery and the designer's own background and modern take on the traditional High Jewellery design and craft techniques, Amélie Viaene will guide you through a series of short workshops, focusing on the creative process and the various steps of crafting a jewel. Following the designer's hand, you will become familiar with gouaché, a painting technique which depicts a jewel in a three dimensional volume. Sitting down at Amélie's workbench, you will understand and practice all the different techniques involved in the jewellery making process. Amélie Viaene enjoys sharing the secret world of jewellery and passing on her knowledge in a unique, interactive and hands-on experience.
