After studying there and becoming passionate about the craft, Sylvie has continued this rich tradition by working on both traditional pieces and creative items that bring this ancient craft into the 21st century. Her workshop, Le Bégonia d’Or, is open to people (aged 9+) who want to learn the craft of gold thread embroidery. Classes are held in French and English. Participants have the chance to tailor their course with a personal project. During this class, several embroidery stitches will be taught to make part of a floral decoration typical of an 18th century cushion. A membership fee of 15 euros applies in addition to the indicated course fee.

This high-level course is a one-on-one experience with the master, who will guide you towards complete autonomy as you learn to embroider an elaborate Russian roof on canvas.
