Tom Flick is a stone sculptor from Luxembourg, working mostly with alabaster, marble, granite and sandstone. Tom studied in a specialised arts and crafts school in Luxembourg; after graduating, he went on to study at the University of Applied Arts in Vienna. In the sculpture masterclass taught by Professor Wander Bertoni, Tom studied many different materials, techniques and creation methods to gain all the skills necessary for a stone sculptor. Between 1990 and 2000 he had the opportunity to work in an atelier of Lucien Wercollier. In 2001, together with five other artists, Tom co-founded the art collective Sixthfloor. Together they transformed an old sawmill into ateliers and exhibition spaces. Since 2007 Tom has organised an international sculpture symposium (Muse Symposium) every three years. Tom has taken part in many exhibitions in Luxembourg and abroad, and has about 12 monumental sculptures on display in public spaces.
