This life size willow trophy of a stag’s head was created using a dense, random swirling weave. It is hand woven using six different varieties of willow. Starting with a basic willow rod which is manipulated into an instantly recognisable animal, it is much more than just an outline: the sculpture encapsulates movement and expression and has a hint of personality.
