Saint Moritz
Streamlined, like a snow sled, the Saint Moritz coffee table exhibits balance and lightness in the shapes, as well as the weight and consistency, of the bronze and wood materials used to craft it. The hammered bronze base is inspired by winter and its silent dynamism.

The realisation of the design starts with the selection of the most suitable woods sourced from a dedicated "wood warehouse", which is the beating heart of the manufacturing process. The impeccable craftsmanship skills of carpentry are called upon to carve the wooden aspects of the object. Polishing follows the carpentry, whereby the sucupira wood is enhanced by water treatments to reveal all its pores and its intense and lasting colour. The hammered bronze base is created in a special laboratory specialising in bronze-casting techniques. Once complete, the base and wooden top are then assembled.
"I had to create a piece for a mountain place, with large windows overlooking the valley and the peaks so I suddenly had this vision: dark woods on the walls, leathers and warm colours on the upholstery. When it came to designing the living room table, I took inspiration from my surroundings and immediately thought of snow sleds. I therefore created a stable base in bronze, and a wooden top." Romeo Sozzi, designer.
