Looking at One Another Through Infinity

The pouf is constructed from a wooden frame, which is entirely covered with a silk and cashmere fabric that is crafted from luxurious spun and woven fibres, to give the piece a minimal and precious look. The pouf is characterised by an “inverted eight” shape, the form of the mathematical symbol of infinity, which is very dear to the artist, both for its natural beauty and for its meaning.

The idea that an already unlimited size can be made to grow in an unlimited way has always fascinated Stefano Conticelli. For this creation, he thought of the unlimited possibilities of the gaze in that wherever it lands it never fixes on a single point but gives rise to a vision. With this pouf, the seated people can look at each other endlessly, facing each other or from behind, towards the horizon.
