Using waste plastic as raw material, Helen O'Shea created this delicate organic sculpture covered in overlapping hand-cut scales, which are further enhanced by hand-dyed cotton threads edging each piece. Steel dressmaking pins secure them in place creating a robust structure belying its visual delicate translucency.
