Artisan at work: Wood marquetry

Wood marquetry maker Takafumi Mochizuki will be working live in Sala degli Arazzi, showcasing some of the oldest woodworking techniques, from strictly handcrafted marquetry to sand-burning and the use of ox glue. Takafumi's unique working style is a fusion of the ancient tradition of the Florentine Renaissance and that of the Orient.
