Mask-maker Claude Dessimond will be working live in Sala degli Arazzi, showcasing the process of moulding a Harlequin mask from cow leather. Claude applies the same techniques used in the Renaissance for the Commedia dell'arte masks. He will demonstrate the process of moulding moistened cow leather on a plaster form, which was created beforehand by over-modelling the mask on the imprint of an actor's face.
