Paradigm Shift

This vessel represents a rug from Jaipur, India in blues, reds, green and white. Ruth Shelley cut, delicately placed and fused combination of transparent and opaque glass to create the piece. Shaped by gravity, it was then cut, polished and sandblasted.

Into The Deep

Many layers of glass were used to make this tall glass vessel which represents the varying colours of the sea around the Welsh coastline. It has a rippled wave-like texture on the surface and a delicate tapestry of colours at its centre.
