This pair of rose shaped earrings are one of Katerina Makriyianni's first attempts at using fabric in her designs. She especially enjoys their malleability and the shapes that can be created as well as their magic colours. This design is a different type of rose, one that Katerina imagined, created with metal and fabric.

When Katerina Makriyianni discovered these feathers, she instantly wanted to create a pair of earrings that would hold as many feathers as possible. The result, a pair of earrings with a magic dark red quality. In this design, the metal is only intended to accentuate the deep red colour.

This design resulted from a collaboration with the cloth brand, Ancient Kallos. They draw their inspiration from traditional Greek embroidery. The rhombus shape of this earring features prominently in Greek embroidery and Katerina Makriyianni combined it with a touch of intense colour and bold size.

Through the vibrant colours of this necklace, Katerina Makriyianni wanted to describe the power of flowers when they are blooming at the end of the winter under the first sunlight. Every thread has been placed and stitched by hand.

Yellow gold is wrapped around the fabric of these earrings, helping the fabric stand out and holding the fibres in place at the same time. From the gold, a flare of silky threads burst out.
