Eternal and classical pieces of the Italian kitchen are revisited with a variety of new floral and geometric designs. Each piece is sewn and block printed by hand using wooden blocks carved with Antonio Bandini and Giulia Martina Serafini’s designs and printed with a natural colour made from rust. Bread bag, oven mitts and tea towels become beautiful decorations.

Each piece of fabric is hand block printed with a natural dye extracted from rust. The design is carved in wooden blocks that are dipped in the colour and then individually impressed on the fabric using a mallet. Some of Antonio Bandini and Giulia Martina Serafini’s clients continue an age-old tradition of bringing their own fabric to be printed on, usually heirlooms in the form of handwoven hemp and cotton.

These potholders and mitts hang like small paintings decorating the kitchen. Each piece is sewn and block printed by hand using wooden blocks carved with designs by Peromatto and printed with a natural colour made from rust.

This classical design is probably the most Italian product created by Peromatto: the tablecloth. The designs come directly from Antonio Bandini and Giulia Martina Serafini’s drawings taking inspiration from the nature found in their part of Italy. The ‘margherita’ design is elegant and simple at the same time.
