This spherical vase is inspired by the volcanic lake of Sebastiano’s island. The incandescent blue glaze was created by adding to the component water and mud from the lake, rich in alkaline substances. It was fired following the raku technique.

This vessel forms part of a larger series of altered spheres. It was adorned with flake-like inserts that form a sort of armour. It was fired following the raku technique.

The Bomba Lavica vessel is an embodiment of the material forces present in Sebastiano’s island. The glaze was created using organic elements found on the edge of an extinct volcano, such as quartz, obsidian, pumice, tuff, feldspar and metal mesh. It was fired in the reduction chamber following the raku technique.

This wheel turned vessel was finished using a glaze inspired by the deep blue of the sea. It was fired following the raku technique.

For this piece, Sebastiano drew inspiration from a marine coast located in his native island. The area is characterized by rare rock formations in the shape of hexagonal columns. In addition, the piece symbolises the future, new technologies and space. It was gilded and fired in the reduction chamber following the raku technique.
