This sculpture, part of Daniela Forti’s Meduse series, was entirely handmade using glass fusing techniques, where glass is exposed to temperatures so high that they alter its molecular process, changing its shape and creating a new form. The delicate, multi-coloured body of this jellyfish-like creature is sustained with glass filaments, representing its tentacles floating in water.

Photoluminescence is the property that some chemicals have to emit light when exposed to an external source such as sunlight or artificial light. In the dark or half-light conditions, these glass sculptural objects slowly releases the accumulated light and self-illuminate for many hours.

The elegant form of a jellyfish is created through this unique Murano glass sculpture in dark and light green hues. The flowing, open-top of the sculpture and the coiled section underneath is reminiscent of a jellyfish and its tentacles. Light filters through the top onto the surface on which the sculpture is placed, creating a soft effect.

The iridescent silhouette of jellyfish inspired the mesmerising design of this sculpture, handcrafted from molten Murano glass. Sinuous filaments in yellow and turquoise descend from the flattened, blue-hued bell above, creating an astonishing drop-like effect.

This gorgeous, unique turquoise-coloured sculpture is made from beautiful Murano glass and let’s light filter through it onto surfaces where it is placed. The form of the sculpture, with its open, flowing top and drippings underneath, seems almost like an elegant jellyfish with its tentacles.
