Tailoring to success

  • • Agustín and Lucía are the third generation of this worshop which is opened since 1954
  • • Their products carry the Quality Seal A for Artisan Tailoring by the Spanish Tailoring Association
  • • They have tailored clothes for high-ranking military officers

Agustín García and Lucía Serrano discovered the magic involved in pushing the needle almost by chance. Agustín originally wanted to be a marine biologist, he started working with Cecilio Serna – the Felipe XI's military tailor, trained himself by Martin Arana – and ended up doing an apprenticeship. Agustín taught the craft to his now-colleague, Lucía Serrano, a passionate fashion design student. Together they teach and spread the value of tailoring, the slow processes of creation and the beautifulness of giving garments a long life. The Serna team, the youngest master tailors in Spain, play with the wisdom of being the only Spanish workshop specialised in military tailoring, the third generation of active tailors.
