The Salvadore experience

Davide Salvadore represents the 11th generation of Murano glassworkers, his family's roots in the craft date back to the 1700s. A tour of his atelier is a special experience: participants will be taken on a technical and artistic path to discover his ties to the Murano glass culture and at the same time its vital and creative connection to the present. At the furnace, visitors – guided by a staff member – will see glass masters at work with various styles and techniques, both classic and contemporary. The furnace offers a broad overview of the glass craft today: filigree, cane and murine techniques, cold work and sculpting.

Davide Salvadore

Glass sculpting

The artisan who plays with fireFrom one of the most important families (the Trippa) employed in glass art since the 17th century, Davide Salvadore was at a tender age when he started learning this millennia-old craft, a craft that is far from simple and requires deep knowledge. Davide was privileged to have his beloved grandfather as his teacher, a man with a strong personality who left a very deep mark on his grandson's life and education. Today, working alongside his own two sons, Davide takes a different approach: he gives advice only on request: because working with your family is anything but simple.
