Pomellato unveils the unique Kintsugi Venus cameo

Every day in Pomellato’s Milan atelier, over a hundred artisans craft one-of-a-kind jewels. Each creation is brought to life by their passion, expertise, meticulous work and inventive solutions. In a refined re-interpretation of the ancient Japanese Kintsugi technique, the art of mending with gold, Pomellato has created the extraordinary Venus cameo jewel, fusing ancient skills from Japan and Italy with a thoroughly contemporary spirit. The brand is proud to reveal it in Venice during an exceptional in-store experience: meet the Pomellato artisans and get a unique outlook on high jewellery, unveiling the perfect beauty of imperfection.

Pomellato

Jewellery making

Pomellato: the unmistakable design of an unconventional stylePomellato was founded in Milan in 1967 by Pino Rabolini – the heir to his family’s goldsmith legacy - as the jewelry brand for the independent woman, introducing the prêt-à-porter philosophy into a traditionally conservative world. Renowned for a sparkling creativity, a bold use of coloured gems and the Italian craftsmanship, each Pomellato jewel is handcrafted by expert goldsmiths in Milan. Pomellato’s immediately recognizable collections range from the House signature Nudo, with its “naked” coloured stones, to the goldsmithing creations of Iconica and Catene. The brand has successfully evolved into High Jewelry, creating one-of-a-kind masterpieces for La Gioia. A social and environmental frontrunner, Pomellato has championed many initiatives to combat violence against women and support their empowerment. Pomellato uses only ethically-mined gold in a costant commitment to the theme of eco-sustainability and investment in the traceability of the stones and diamonds.
