Learn basic techniques of tapestry weaving

3-6 hours30 pounds per hour

Jackie Bennett offers this one-day workshop in tapestry weaving for individuals, in-person or online. It provides the basis for learning any type of weaving. A small weaving frame is used to weave a small sample piece, whilst learning a range of techniques. A wide variety of wool yarns are provided, allowing participants to choose the colours they wish to work with, and online courses include a kit of yarns. This course further teaches how to put the warp on a small frame and prepare to weave, plain weave, angles, and curves, how to design weaving and how to work with colours and textures, amongst other techniques. £30 per hour for one-to-one. Materials are priced separately.
