Learn to combine colour and texture

2-3 hours30 pounds per hour

This workshop is a great introduction to weaving for complete beginners and as a second step for those with some weaving experience. The aim for the novice weaver is to create their own unique textural, circular weaving. Weaving takes place on a simple wooden frame on which a beautiful decorative piece is made for a wall or table using natural yarns in a range of colours. Weaving, knotting and soumak techniques are taught as well as various methods for finishing off, including fringing. Weaving materials and equipment are provided and various yarns and materials with which to experiment will be available. Duration: 2-3 hours, starts at £30 per hour for one-to-one. Materials are priced separately.
