Junko Mori

Born in Yokohama, Japan, Junko Mori studied 3D design in Tokyo and then worked as a welder for a small steel fabricating business. She then moved to the UK where she spent two years studying silversmithing and metalwork at Camberwell College of Art in London. Although her initial plan was to return to Japan, she was awarded a grant to become artist in residence at Liverpool Hope University in 2001. As a result of this opportunity, her roots in the UK were strengthened, and she now lives and works in North Wales with her family.
