The sculpture is assembled from thousands of forged mild steel components. The repetition of multiple units forms the basis of Junko’s work. The sculptural piece is a part of Junko’s Propagation Project series that focuses on how the process of heating and hammering can transform cold, hard, mild steel into something that appears soft, moving and organic.
