The glazed stoneware sculpture by Portuguese artist Bela Silva evokes the aura of magic that one feels visiting the iconic Italian city of Venice. The elegant mystery of the deep waters arouses a state of contemplation and reflection that we all need in our constantly busy existence. This work may be seen as an amphora encrusted with shells found in the Venice lagoon like an archaeological relic.
