Glass painting

The Werkstätten Gustav van Treeck can still be found today in Munich's Schwindstraße, where they were founded by Gustav van Treeck in 1887. The team of art glaziers, glass painters, mosaicists, designers and restorers carry out glass painting, window design and mosaics for public institutions and private clients. Since 2015, the manufacturer has been run by Raphaela Knein and Katja Zukić, who initiated the launch of the product design line, edition van Treeck. The objects of the new design line are created in collaboration with internationally renowned designers such as Sebastian Herkner, david&nicolas, and Sabine Marcelis.

TechniqueStory

Following its foundation in 1887, Gustav van Treeck has been appointed "Bayerische Hofglasmalerei" (Royal Bavarian Studios for Glass Painting) in 1903. Today, the mission of the studio remains very much the same, to provide designers, architects, companies and artists with the possibility of creating art and designed objects in glass. The workshop masters and uses a large range of glassworking techniques, from mosaic work and glass fusing, to stained-glass creation and restoration of glass. A dynamic and highly motivated team of glaziers, glass painters, mosaicists, designers and restorers works to bring all types of creations to life.
