How did a Frenchman get into Danish woodworking?
I was initially working in product development, then I decided to find out more about the production of the pieces myself. Then, around 2011, I moved to Denmark for love and decided to become a proper Danish trained woodworker.
What are your sources of inspiration?
I'm inspired by the great old craftsmen from the 1950s in Denmark, when designers and architects needed to also master crafting. They managed to create timeless and functional design with great joinery and with an immense knowledge of durable construction.

Is the approach to craft different between countries?
Yes, I believe each country, person or creative studio from different cultures sees craft in different perspectives, but I think that it is enriching for craft. Even if the basics are similar, it’s always delightful to discover other visions.
What do you love most about your profession?
I love being challenged and pushing boundaries, and of course I love seeing client’s eyes when they see their long-awaited piece for the first time. I will always remember receiving very honest gratitude from a wonderful designer, I admire a lot.
