A meeting point for artisans and local crafts

The Arts & Crafts Centre of Škofja Loka was established in 2011 by the Sora Development Agency. The aim is to bring together master artisans from the wider Gorenjska region and to preserve the rich tradition dating from as early as the Middle Ages. The centre is located in the old town of Škofja Loka and houses a fair-trade shop of artisan masterpieces, where wicker, knitted, wooden, felt and bobbin lace products can be found, including handmade knives. What is more, a number of intriguing exhibitions and creative DIY workshops regularly take place at the venue, which allow visitors hands-on experience of the rich Škofja Loka artisan tradition.
