Today, Studio Moretti Caselli hosts a museum-archive-workshop, with a connected library. Visiting the museum means coming into contact with one of the oldest families of master glassmakers in Italy who are still active. The workshop, used to make the stained glass windows of the most important churches of Umbria, preserves sketches and plaster casts as well as all the original furnishings. Inside one can admire photographs and drawings of stained glass windows, alongside art objects that testify to the owners' many cultural interests – such as music and photography.

Studio Moretti Caselli was officially founded in 1858 when Francesco Moretti began research into early glass painting techniques for a commission by the Todi Cathedral. In 1862 a fully-equipped workshop was set up in the former convent of San Domenico in Perugia. In 1875 the workshop was transferred to the former convent of San Francesco al Prato and then in 1895 was relocated to premises in Via Fatebenefratelli which Moretti had acquired from the Free University of Perugia the previous year, where it remains to this day.
