Located in the historic town of Yame, in Fukuoka prefecture, the Shikada Shitsurai shop is founded on over a century of experience in crafting traditional “sudare” screens. Using bamboo, rattan and other natural materials, Shikada Shitsurai is developing a growing line-up of household goods, with a special focus on collaborations and the creation of original products that incorporate sudare in innovative ways.
