New Ashgate Gallery, founded in 1959 by Elisabeth Naydler and currently directed by Dr. Outi Remes, is a non-profit trust. As well as being the first provincial gallery that showed internationally acclaimed artists such as Barbara Hepworth, Picasso, Peter Blake and Sandra Blow, the gallery has always been an important supportive entity for local and national artists. They aim to provide professional, business and audience development for emerging talents in fields ranging from painting, print, ceramics, jewellery, textiles, glass and wood. Located in Farnham, which was awarded World Craft City status in 2020, New Ashgate Gallery is part of this rich creative fabric.
