Founded and designed by Noé Duchaufour-Lawrance, Made in Situ (MIS) is the manifestation of a creative dynamic of apperception, rooted in the treasures of a territory, its craftspeople and its connections to nature. Made in Situ fosters a series of cross-disciplinary exchanges instigated by designs and their creative process; it is a platform that reflects the current shifting movement of our human relationship to the Earth. Each collection is made with Portuguese based artisans with a central material focus. Currently on exhibition is the first collection of Barro Negro with Xana Monteiro and Carlos Lima, a duo of Portuguese ceramicists based in Molelos. The MIS space is designed to offer direct contact with the pieces through sensory discoveries and invites inspirations, interpretations and evocations through gastronomy, music, events, talks and experiences.
