The MAAT shop is part of the striking Museum of Art, Architecture and Technology facing Lisbon’s beautiful Tagus river. Open since 2016, it presents exhibitions by contemporary artists, architects and thinkers focusing on art, architecture and technology to stimulate dialogues, discovery and critical thinking about societal trends. Although the museum is not directly linked to craftsmanship, the MAAT shop has partnered with national artisans and designers to make objects for the museum’s shop. Vicara Design’s cork collection, Margarida Fabrica’s ceramics or Fernanda Lamela’s hand painted silk scarves are a few examples of MAAT Shop’s tribute to Portuguese craftsmanship.
