Jump into the past

The shop is located in a small courtyard in the Marais, behind an old wooden garage door. Thursday afternoons are the only days when it's open. Upon entering, you feel transported back to 1912, when the shop moved to its current location at 20, rue Rambuteau. Row after row, antique wooden boxes line the walls, all numbered and labelled. Usually the owners are in the front room and assist visitors in finding the right colour. Pastel names are poetic... Wild Brown, Intense Violet, Naples Yellow, Rouge Geranium. The boxes contain 1200 bars of pastels that are so intense you can't decide which one you want. The two owners regularly create special editions together to celebrate a theme or colour.
