The gold of Latvia

Latvian Design Store KUULD is located in Kuldīga, known for the the widest waterfall – the Venta Rapid – in Europe. Located in the very heart of the city since 2018, this family-owned shop presents Latvian design in many shapes and sizes: porcelain tableware, textiles, leather goods and much more. Among the Latvian artisans represented, the store has a special focus of creations by regional artisans. The name "KUULD" has a special meaning, in Old Curonian (a now almost extinct language from a tribe living on the shores of the Baltic) it meant gold. Now, the creations of Latvian artisans are the gold that the locals are most proud of.
