Showcasing Latvian creativity

Gallery ETMO was founded in 2013 by Signe Auzina. ETMO stands for “ethnographic and modern”, and this concept is present throughout all the pieces at the gallery. The initial idea to create a space for Latvian designers and craftspeople came to Signe thanks to her love for Latvian traditional ethnographic textiles and design. The main goal was to embody these fundamental values in a contemporary way. ETMO offers a space for artisans to exhibit and sell their works. Its philosophy is that making things with one's hands transmits every touch and feel to the creation and its wearer.
